My netsec peeps, do you use ssh -J for maintaining persistent connections into systems in different subnets, or set up proxychains for it?

@zer0k What does the -J option do? My ssh lacks that particular option.

@espen the -J option allows you to specify a proxy host (or “Jump host”) to funnel the ssh connection through.
For example; if you have a bastion host that you use to connect to “secret.host”, you’d do:
ssh -J bastion.host secret.host

@zer0k Ah, thought it was something like that. Sounds very useful but, like I said, my client doesn't have it. Could be that it is outdated.
