Messing around with trying to load () onto a Raspberry Pi. Lightening bolt indicates that the power supply is too low. But that’s bullshit. It works just fine on every other disk image...

My brain is mush after working on this for a while. Gonna set it down. Try something different later.

@tinker thats really cool ! I'm looking forward using #LineageOS on a new phone

@chess7th - Let me know how you like it!

@tinker I have heard of this before, though only when using the GPIO to power stuff.

@jerry - Yeah, this is with a “Made for an RPi” 2 amp power supply. It works just fine with Raspian, etc. For some reason this android SD card isn’t loading. Don’t know why. Maybe the brand of SD card.... hmm.

@tinker for me I was getting that using a disk image that only supported the 3B on a 3B+. Ended up going back and getting 3Bs.

@ted - Oh yeah?!?! This is a 3B+ I’ll try it on a 3B! Thanks for the tip!

@ted - Hey! That was it! The image was meant for the 3B not a 3B+. Odd that it would manifest as a power issue...

Anyhow. Have LineageOS loaded on an RPi! Have some display issues, but that’ll be the next step.

Cheers, Ted!

@tinker my understanding of the error is that it is actually a failure to load the initial binary blob to boot the device. That most commonly happens for folks because there isn't enough power to run the SD card and so that's what is most of the web says.

The reason you're seeing it is there is a different blob for the 3B and the 3B+, so the 3B+ can't load the one available on your SD card.

@ted - Gotcha. Interesting. I need to learn more hardware / kernel shit.

@tinker there are a few kernel talks at TXLF this year, and some security ones too:

@ted - Might be able to swing it. Will see. Thanks for the info!
