context is it's an umbrella for all kinds of random woo ranging from empirical to mystical. what kind exactly depends on who you ask. I can only speak for myself.

for me it's nature inspired spiritual practice ± initiatory mystery tradition. unlike mainstream religion, it doesn't necessarily mandate any belief system (may also be atheistic). it may work based on personal energy, spirits/gods, and/or psychology depending who you ask.
