I bought an OpenWRT-compatible router and put OpenWRT on it. Anybody have preferences/opinions about OpenWRT versus Tomato versus DD-WRT?

@paco openwrt tends to be better supported but not in all cases. I find openwrt is better if you want it to do non router things like running services or an SDR off a USB port.

@stevelord thanks. The main weird thing I want is dynamic dns and VPN

@paco You can probably do that with any of them. Wireguard might be a little less supported on Tomato, but OpenVPN should be fine on any of them.
