Especially with this crappy internet I have, the latency to the US west coast is more than noticeable.
I am considering going back to mastodon.xyz which is hosted in Europe and therefore closer to me.. 🤔

I'll take that back.. I just logged in to mastodon.xyz again and it's just as slow as it was few weeks ago..
But what did I expect from a software written with such a horrible coding style, anyways?

@jerry it's not that bad during the day, so it's mainly my slow DSL. Even google.com gets ping times of 110ms in the evening. The instance here is only around 100ms more then.

@b @jerry VDSL with nominal 100/40 MBit/s (Down/Up). During the day I get around 93/35 but at night it's more like 10/12 or so..
