Local news interviewed a security company. Two employees were showing how hacking is done 😂😂
@jerry I would expect that from Fox 5 but not WSB. ;-)
@jerry With a black screen
@jeff they are making full use of their 15 seconds of fame.
@jerry I can't take hackers serious without a proper ski mask.
@cwcopa I suspect they wanted to but either didn’t have them handy or were told they wouldn’t be recorded with them on. either way, SAD.
@jerry It is. I watched it at least 10 times and it went worse with every time.
@cwcopa I thought it was epic and is probably exactly what i would do if i were in the background of a story being recorded about hacking
@jerry I mean, that's not entirely inaccurate. They have a screen shot of what might be Ida Pro with x86 assembly code and a control flow graph. That's a pretty legit portrayal of reverse engineering, IMO.
@thedagit you’re right - it was clearly ida pro, but I was referring to the keyboarding, not what’s on the screen.
@jerry WOW 100% realistic because we all know 2 people 1 keyboard is the only way to hack.
@jerry what's that, IDA? How dare they show something that makes sense?
@jerry hackertyper on camera never gets old
@jerry on Dutch RTL Nieuws they used hashcast ^^ https://twitter.com/danielverlaan/status/980009822149054464
@jerry hashcat*
@jerry "Let's take some B roll of those guys working on their computer."
"They're playing MineCraft."
"Doesn't matter. It'll look good on-air."
