Tell me a story Fediverse. Today is not a great day so far, and I'd like to hear something nice.

@JohnsNotHere I just got assigned to assess Facebook.

I would be excited, except it well could be the never ending assignment. Where do I start? How can it end?

That’s my story for the day.

A never ending story? The 80s called, and I feel nostalgic. ;-)

@JohnsNotHere There's a lone tree in a distance, gently caressed by a light dewy mist rolling over the hills. Brightly lit highlights of wispy yellow tinge the leaves, clinging to ancient bark

A bearded black cat strolls up to the lowest branch which is kissing the wet grass under its own weight. The cat looks up at this glorious being and says...

@cypnk A mix of classic and modern street languages. How refreshing!

Once upon a time there was a crooked tree and a straight tree and they grew next to each other.

Every day the straight tree would look at the crooked tree and he would say, "You're crooked. You've ALWAYS been crooked and you'll continue to BE crooked. But look at me! Look at me!" said the straight tree. "I'm tall and I'm straight!"

And then one day after a long time, the lumberjacks came into the forest and looked around. The manager in charge said, "cut down all the tall, straight trees!"

And that crooked tree is still there to this day,
growing strong and growing strange.

A great insight to those who seek to be "popular" and "fit in". Sometimes the world will cut you down. Better to be true to one's self. Inspirational.

@JohnsNotHere Certainly different than what I got from it; hope it helped in some small way!

@JohnsNotHere I want to create a dating app that's a cross between Tinder and Bumble. I shall call it Bumbler. Users will have to prove their utter incompetence in social situations if they want to use the service to find other socialy inept people. The company slogan will be "Oh Jeeze!"
